I completely agree with McCusker, but Blu-Ray with the LED screen is really cool technology. It almost made me sick with how real it was but it is really really cool technology!
I would have to say that the coolest technology I have used at home and in the classroom is the Wii. I think it is a great step toward increased activity for people of all ages, specifically children who seem to be driven by technology these days.
Physically interactive video games are cool. Personally, I am not into video games but my students love video games so I encourage them toward the active ones. My own son gets a workout on our wii and ddr. We laugh and have a blast doing the wii "Just Dance".
The coolest technology I've ever used is a Polycom unit. It is really cool that it video conferences so fast with limited lag. The fact that you can switch back and forth from PowerPoint or desktop views to live feed is neat.
I think the coolest and my favorite technology I have used is my IPod Touch. I love using and searching for all of the different applications available. I especially like some of the fitness applications.
The coolest technology that I have used is the Power Point with the Projector. This is so much better than an overhead projector. The students appreciate this use of technology.
wii you can get kids to exercise while doing something they love.
